  • First Indian Sportsman in India’s history to receive the Commonwealth Games Queen’s Baton. He received the Baton from Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II on 29th October, 2009 in Buckingham Palace, London. He became the first Indian Athlete to take the oath on behalf of the all the athletes competing in the Commonwealth when he took the oath for all those participating in the XIV Commonwealth Games in Delhi 2010
